Aurora Schools Credit Union was founded on the credit union philosophy of People Helping People. As a not-for-profit organization, volunteers play important roles in our success. Board and Supervisory Committee Volunteer Opportunities
Each year, we look for qualified volunteers to fill vacancies for these key positions. The Nominating Committee then presents a slate of nominees for the membership to vote on the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors Overview
Aurora Schools Credit Union’s Board of Directors consists of seven volunteers whose main responsibilities include: overseeing that all credit union policies are followed, monitoring the credit union’s strategic plan, and ensuring that the credit union operates in a safe and secure manner thereby keeping the members’ best interest as a top priority.
Supervisory Committee Overview
Aurora Schools Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee ensures the financial well-being of the credit union as well as the prompt preparation of accounting records and reports. This committee acts as the members’ “watchdog” and makes certain the credit union maintains its standard of excellence and that all regulations, procedures and policies governing Aurora Schools Credit Union are followed.
